The Money Game
My students love this great card game! With stimulus questions built into the game all you need is this set of cards to TARGET ALL AREAS OF COMMUNICATION! LANGUAGE, ARTICULATION, VOICE and FLUENCY!!! This game is recommended for elementary school students and/or middle school students.  

This game contains 72 money cards, 96 stimulus questions, and a "Bank". On a player’s turn ask him/her a stimulus question. After the player has answered the question, give him/her that piece of money.
 

This game is geared toward language therapy, but can easily be adapted for articulation, fluency or voice therapy. Use this game while reinforcing good speech habits and/or carryover.

 

Here are some examples of the types of stimulus questions in The MONEY Game: 

  • Follow the Directions: Jump up and down. Touch your shoulders. Say your name.

  • Give two meanings for the word:   wave

  • Tell what the underlined phrase means: "So I blew my curfew, big deal," said the teenager.

  • Tell what the word means:   astonished
    Complete the analogy: Tired is to nap like hungry is to _______.

    Complete the sentence: Spanish is a language. France is a ________.
    Unscramble the sentence:  sharp, not, is, pencil, my  

Money Battle

 

BATTLE Games are some of my most requested games during speech therapy! Kids enjoy the "quick play" and thrill of seeing who has the strongest card. This battle game features great characters and a great learning opportunity. Discuss the various salaries of different wage earners. Why do they earn more or less? What job would you like to have? What are the advantages and disadvantages of being rich or poor, famous or not famous? Target all areas of communication with this great game!! Use this game as a reinforcement after a speech session or during a session as reinforcement after each "talking turn". This game can be used with a small group or a larger group. I have used this game with as many as twelve players. WHO MAKES THE MOST MONEY?? YOU HAVE TO BATTLE IT OUT!!
